SATI PMC
SATI PMC is a professional, standardised platform for collecting and managing consent regarding the processing of the personal data of the users of websites in Romania.
The main purpose of SATI PMC is the collection, storage, management and use of the consent of data subjects for the processing of personal data within the online marketing and advertising ecosystem, in compliance with the provisions of the applicable data protection legislation.
SATI PMC is the only platform created specifically for the local online market that allows the implementation of a standardised form for requesting and implementing consent, with the aim of creating a legal, standardised framework within the online publishing industry.
SATI PMC has 2 essential components which, together, ensure compliance with data protection legislation:
- the technical application itself, purchased by BRAT from the specialised provider OneTrust, which includes the technical functionalities required for requesting, collecting, transmitting and storing consent
- the recommendation on how the platform should be implemented, which ensures compliance with the legal provisions regarding the rights of data subjects (information, objection, withdrawal of consent, etc.), the way consent is requested, the definition of the processing purposes, etc.
The default operating mode of the SATI PMC platform, in accordance with the SATI PMC Implementation Recommendation, is approved by ANSPDCP (the Romanian National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing).
The main functionalities offered by SATI PMC are:
- scanning the website and identifying all cookies / tracking pixels, etc.;
- mapping and classifying all the cookies identified on the website within processing purposes;
- generating a complete list of all the website’s partners (and the cookies they set) present on the site, in order to display the list to the website’s users;
- initiating a dialogue with data subjects in order to inform them and to collect consent at website level, for all processing purposes and all partners of the website;
- storing and reporting the consent of each user, at website level;
- an online tool for managing and configuring the consent dialogue displayed to users;
- the functionality required in order to comply with users’ rights under the GDPR.
